Change The Count

Petision to change how the yearly snapshot of homlesssness is taken.

I Am petitioning The Minister Of Housing and community to change how the count of the homeless population is arrived at.
1.let soup kitchens, night shelters, drop ins and food banks take the count.
2.let the number be the average of a twelve month period of a monthly count.
3.in the count where possible each separate gender, age, race. and nationalality will have there own count so a wider awareness of the exact groups where the help is needed
4.Once the true number is gained then funding is given directly to the community groups that need it most. Thus giving a more evenly distributed funds.

Why is this important?

Taking an annual snapshot of the homeless population to get a head count. is a anual joke within the homeless organisations whom the count is taken for to secure funding for each consistuancy.
Sadly its not not a good joke cause someone's saying we've only got around 4250 people living on the streets, I have lived in the streets and believe the count is wrong! So here's a solution to try and get right.
