Clearly label all AI generated content.

Ask the UK government to require all AI generated content to be clearly labelled, including text, images, music, and video.

Why is this important?

I recently bought an audiobook that turned out to be AI generated. It was terribly written and the information was utter nonsense. The listing for the book didn’t indicate that it was AI. I suspected it was from the quality, and searching online eventually confirmed it. I managed to get a refund but it wasn’t easy because the book hadn’t violated any of the seller’s rules. This would have been avoided if the book was labelled as AI generated. This situation is unfortunately getting more common. Mandated labelling would give people the ability to choose which materials to consume and what to spend their money on. It would make it harder for scam “creators” to make money by pretending to be genuine, and allow people to make informed decisions about who and what to support. It could also protect the value and status of artists and creatives.
