COMBAT ROMANCE SCAMS / ROMANTIC SCAMS
Romance / Romantic Scams have become a plague in the UK and worldwide with many people losing a fortune to the scammers and some even taking their own lives as a result. The Police has a minimum understanding of the Romace Scam and only advice they will offer is block the scammer and send no more money. Good advice but very late in the day. There needs to be a definitive procedure for the Police to follow and investigate each complaint based on the evidence provided.
Why is this important?
Its time the Police took reports of these scams seriously and investigated each one based on the evidence provided. Being financially impacted ruins lives and in some cases people resort to suicide because they feel there is no help and they are alone.
