Cross Party Unity Brexit Negotiations team

We ask that the Government urgently appoint a cross party negotiating team to, review and if necessary create new negotiating points and outcomes, negotiating strategy, (incorporating negotiation style), and present them as one team to the EU negotiating team in the Brexit talks.

Why is this important?

As a result of the recent election the UK government is a weak team who have already briefed in an unfortunate way about the negotiators on the other side of the table before the talks have even begun. This may not bring about a good outcome for the talks so far as the UK is concerned. If the team that is presented represents all the major political parties in the UK, this will show a more unified and therefore stronger UK position in the Brexit negotiations. Some former policies may have to be modified but the talks will stand a far better chance of providing a positive outcome for the UK if a united front and position is exhibited. In times like this politicians really do need to think about the 'National Interest' as the Article 50 clock has already been set in motion and cannot be changed.
If you agree with this please sign it and share. No matter how you voted in the referendum, we are where we are, and we need to get the best outcome for the UK. Going into negotiations with a weak team will not help the UK's bargaining position.
