Why is this important?
It is outrageous that married people like Irene Clennell who are as British as you or I, have lived here for decades, have paid their taxes, can be deported simply because they earn less than £18,500 a year. Yes, that's the cut-off. If you're poor you get sent home. But if you're wealthy you can come here no matter how you made your money. The UK government picks on these soft targets because they haven't the resources to fight back.
