Do not stop PSA Prostate Specific Antigen tests for men.

Do not stop GP's testing men for Prostate Cancer by carrying out a blood test for PSA.

Why is this important?

I have have suffered prostate cancer and had a prostatectomy. The issue was highlighted following a blood test for PSA. I had no symptoms, don't smoke or drink and keep fit.

It was the my manager who encouraged me to go for a test following a friend suffering the disease. Had I not had the test I would now be in the advanced stages of cancer and do not know how long I would have to live.
Further to this I know of three other men with the same story.
