Doctor Who Series 9 Soundtrack Release

Release the Doctor Who Series 9 Soundtrack after over 1 and a half years of waiting and being told nothing.

Why is this important?

Music is important to so many people. And the music in Doctor Who is no exception. Murray Gold has produced some amazing, wonderful and inspiring pieces of music that has wowed fans across the world. Tracks like 'This is Gallifrey,' 'I am the Doctor,' and 'A Good Man?' any many more. In Series 9, Murray once again composed some beautiful music, most especially in the episode Heaven Sent alone.

However, 1.5 years after Series 9 initially finished, fans have been left angered and indeed baffled to not only the absence of a soundtrack release, but also the silence from the BBC on when, if, or why isn't there been a release. Silva Screen themselves have admitted that they haven't been given the authorisation to release the music. Even with the BBC selling the rights to many of their background music, many shows like Sherlock have had an immediate soundtrack release, except for Doctor Who.

This is not only frustrating and confusing to the Doctor Who fandom, but also a great insult to Murray Gold himself. To work on so much music and barely get any recognition for it, knowing the BBC no longer appreciates his music anymore.

This petition therefore to the BBC is to finally get some well overdue news on if there will ever be a Doctor Who Series 9 Soundtrack, if so when, and if not (which it does seem the case sadly) why.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and Murray, this is for you. From the fans who still do appreciate your beautiful music to the world of Doctor Who
