Don't centralise our acute mental health services.
NHS Tayside is proposing to make changes to how and where they deliver their General Adult Psychiatry (GAP) and Learning Disability (LD) inpatient services. They propose to move acute mental health services to Dundee.
Keep our acute mental health services in Perth.
Why is this important?
What about working to keep mental health services in Perth rather than centralising all services to Dundee? You can't expect someone with a mental health issue to get better treatment miles away from their loved ones!
How it will be delivered
NHS Tayside have opened a consultation to run from 3 July to 3 October 2017. I plan to submit my petition prior to this to raise enough support to keep these vital services in Perth.
