Downgrading of Exams
I would like to know if it is normal to downgrade A level exams dependant on the social status of the school.
How many pupils exams were downgraded from private schools, each year for the last 10 years
How many pupils exams were downgraded from independent schools each year for the last 10 years
How many pupils exams were downgraded from state schools in deprived areas for the last 10 years.
How many pupils exams were downgraded from state schools excluding deprived areas for the last 10 years.
Why is this important?
For somebody from a deprived area to attain an A* in an exam takes more effort and ability then someone who has all the advantages handed to them.
