Dredge the River Tyne

Dredge the River Tyne up to and including around Dunston and further along towards Newburn and Wylam.

Why is this important?

If the continuing build up of sediment continues and annual rainfall increases it is only a matter of time till more major flooding takes place along the banks of the River Tyne and more subsidence occurs, if dredging could be done it would create jobs as well as create leisure opportunities on the river with a more free flowing river.
