End needless plastic bags in online shopping
I recently went into Next in the centre of Sheffield to collect an online clothes order and was staggered by the amount of needless plastic packaging that was involved. One single set of pyjamas was handed over to me with two cheap plastic hangers and wrapped in two totally oversized plastic bags (1 was 1.2m x 0.65m!)
Why is this important?
In a period when we’re all supposed to be reducing our plastic consumption, why is this much plastic even an option? Companies should be made to use paper or card for the majority of packaging. If plastic really is required, why so much of it?
