To ensure that new drugs where the research and / or development has either wholly or partially funded by the taxpayer or charities are made available at affordable prices for all on the NHS.
Why is this important?
Increasingly new drugs for many diseases and illnesses are only available at a very high cost to the NHS. This is despite the fact that many new drugs are funded wholly or partially by the taxpayer and charities research.
We are calling on the Secretary of State to ensure that all new drugs where the research and development is paid for wholly or partially by the taxpayer or by charities are made available to all.
