Extend GP Preschool Funding
MK Council have advised that they will be withdrawing funding at Giffard Park preschool due to the recent Ofsted report, commencing within the next few weeks which could see the close of the school.
We would like to ask that this is extended until the end of the summer term to allow our children to continue with their early stage learning and see the term through.
Working families are going to be left in a very difficult position if the preschool is forced to close with little or no means of childcare for our children.

Why is this important?
The children should remain the priority of any decision taken and by putting the school in a position where it will have to close, the children are going to be disrupted. It takes many young children a while to settle at preschool and to attempt to move them (if we can even find another preschool to accommodate them) would cause unnecessary upset.
The parents of GP preschool children are upset by the recent rating as we strongly disagree and would not be sending our children to the school if we were not happy with it. The teachers are amazing, the communication between parents and teachers is great and most importantly THE CHILDREN ARE HAPPY AND THRIVING!
