Free travel for ALL students, apprentices, and graduates

In a world where we are constantly told to make less journeys by car, and to rely more on rail and bus travel, the latter is becoming increasingly more expensive, with prices to rise once again in March, further pushing rail travel into unaffordable territory for many, but especially students, apprentices and graduates, some of which will have to miss out on huge opportunities because they cannot afford travel.

This is a petition to the Education and Travel Secretaries, along with the Prime Minister, that demands the following:

•ALL future rail and bud ticket price rises to be scrapped.
•Free travel on trains and buses for every single student, apprentice, and graduate in the UK (by graduate, I mean students who are either on a graduate scheme, or have graduated within the last 2 years).

By doing this, you will open the door for so many students to have access to cheap travel, which will allow them to find greater opportunities. This is something that we desperately need.

Why is this important?

We are in a cost of living crisis, and nearly everybody is struggling, and students are no exception to this. I have had to personally miss out on many opportunities because of the high price of travel, and it risks derailing my entire future plans if nothing is done about it.
