Free travel on tfl for emergency services staff
Following the recent attacks in London and the terrible fire at Grenfell Tower we all have tremendous respect for all at the London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service, as we do for the Met. Police. However only the police currently enjoy free travel on public transport. I believe ALL emergency services staff should receive free travel.
Why is this important?
With ever increasing costs of accommodation in London many workers have to move out to the suburbs and beyond. However those who run toward danger whilst telling others to run away, as part of what they themselves call their 'normal job' deserve special consideration. This is already given to police officers. I believe this should be extended to LFB & LAS also.
