Full Ban of Sarahah

20/02/18 - We won!

Sarahah has been removed from both the Apple App Store and Google Play.

It follows over 120,000 of us signing a petition, then thousands of us writing in to Apple and Google and posting on their facebook walls.

First Apple took down the app, so we went back to Google and a few days later they took down the app too!

Shut down their site, the site generates tonnes of abuse for teenagers. This must be stopped.

Why is this important?

A mobile phone app called Sarahah lets bullies send abusive messages anonymously. And it’s already spreading like wildfire across our schools - countless children’s lives are being made miserable right now

We’ve seen apps like Sahara before, and the danger they put our children in. Last year Sayat.me a similar anonymous messaging app was taken offline after the app was linked to the suicide of a young man. We can’t wait for another tragedy like this to happen before taking action.

How it will be delivered

Present the petition to Sarahah, ask them to shut down.

Now we just need to persuade google to do the same.
