Prevent motorbikes on footpaths in parks
Take measures to prevent motorbike drivers choosing to drive along pedestrian footpaths in these local parks:
a) The New River Walk park footpath; between Canonbury Road and st Paul's Road.
and
b) The footpath beside Astey's Playground; between Canonbury Villas and Astey's Row, near Greenpeace.
Some possible measures include:
1) Chicane barriers- (I noticed these slow down the motorbikes using the pedestrianised section of Richmond Grove, by William Tyndale School.)
2) Speed cameras- for the council to generate revenue
3) Signs
4) Gates which can be closed- especially useful for the playground

Why is this important?
It is illegal to ride motorbikes along public footpaths, but I have seen this done repeatedly. Many toddlers and young children use the New River Walk and Astey's Playground to play, nap, and feed ducks. They could be injured. As a local parent, I have become afraid to let my child out of the pushchair.
