General election TV debates
We call upon the BBC and ITV to hold leaders debates regardless of any resistance to them. Any party leader declining to participate should be replaced by an empty chair.
Why is this important?
It is the media's role to hold politicians to account without bias. Open debates are the best way to achieve this.
