Give Us The Graduation We Deserve
After a tough year of constant lockdowns, lack of support and continuous workloads, we, the students of The University of Sheffield feel we deserve a graduation this summer. The excuse that there is a lack of planning and risk of cancellation is not good enough, and we deserve better. This postponing of graduation will affect 2 years worth of students.
If it means us students participate in the planning and execution of the graduation ceremonies by volunteering, then we believe graduation can go ahead.

Why is this important?
We pay £9,250 each year for our course to at the end receive a formal congratulations which we deserve. The excuses UoS have made are not adequate and with clubs opening in June, and concerts opening, we are more than disappointed we can’t have a graduation, even if it is altered to be more safe e.g. done outdoors, socially distanced, smaller groups. GIVE US OUR GRADUATION!
