Government agree to NHS testing pregnant Mums for GBS

Too many babies die in this country due to Group B Strep. There is very little information available to pregnant Mums. If the NHS would routinely test these women, many babies lives would be saved. A simple solution is to administer two doses of antibiotics during labour.

Why is this important?

Because I was lucky to have been tested while I was pregnant and found to have it. If I hadn't had other problems, that test wouldn't have been done and my daughter may not have survived. I still read so many stories from other people who have lost their new babies to this killer.
