Help Us Fight for the rights of our Elderly, Disabled, Football Fans & local Businesses

So, what are we FIGHTING for? (an overview):
We NEED YOUR HELP (Football Fans, Residents, Businesses, Holiday Makers the lot, local, national or international as this ruling could affect you all). By signing our petition you are helping us to tell the council to BACK OFF, that we do not want the Lloyds Avenue and Taxi Rank to be pedestrianised and killing off what remains of our once beloved town centre. YOU PROBABLY ALREADY KNOW THIS PLACE in question and may had gone to the Lloyds Avenue and gotten on a taxi yourself when you visited Ipswich. The council expects the taxi drivers to “make a sacrifice” by giving in, I’m afraid the consequences are far reaching and severe as people and future of businesses in town are at stake and going to be affected by this decision long-term. One generation always blames the previous so we to do more to preserve our historic town as this council has no interest to do so. The people we have spoken to includes football fans, town shoppers, elderly people, the vulnerable, the disabled, wheelchair users and local town businesses as well as the traders on Lloyds Avenue itself and they ABSOLUTELY DO NOT WANT THIS and would like to keep the vital and historic Lloyds Avenue street to remain as it is. The street acts as an essential access route into town and is incredibly important for all the people and stakeholders we have spoken to, and the COUNCIL HAVE NO CONNECTION WITH THE PEOPLE & by creating a spin they force their master pedestrianisation plans through, despite the mountain opposition and the council are not willing to listen to us and going public to recommend approval before a final decision and conclusion of the democratic process. This council is well known at ignoring everyone, and it is further evident they are getting ever so desperate (see link).
ONLY YOU CAN STOP THEM FROM DESTROYING WHATS LEFT OF OUR TOWN!
We want to show the council that it's the PEOPLE POWER that hold the key to any FINAL DECISION and we can call on the government to honour what the electorate wants if this council still REFUSES TO LISTEN. We want to prove to the nation that the UK IS A DEMOCRATIC COUNTRY and that the government will listen to the people if we can get enough votes through people signing our petition in support of our campaign. Please think of this as A MISSION TO HELP US WIN THIS FINAL BATTLE FOR THE PEOPLE AND END THIS WAR THE COUNCIL HAS WAGED.

There are people willing to stand-up to this authoritarian council & we want you to do the same so please sign our petition & let the people be heard.
But as an opposition councillor pointed out, the Ipswich council is far from democratic & can be compared to the North Korean dictator by the way in which decisions are being made behind closed doors.

Why is this important?
*Help us to ‘Stand’ & ‘Stop the Council’ from taking away the rights & discriminating against our Elderly people, Disabled, Wheelchair users, Women & other Vulnerable groups
The taxi drivers have stood up as we will lose our livelihood & income with this change, but it is also important to fight the injustice too, the silent ones in our community are being disadvantaged & the council are playing ignorant to it. The council doesn’t appreciate or respect the diverse nature of our clients & how it's going to affect them. The council cabinet & their partners still think the pedestrianisation plan meets the needs of those that use walking aids or have difficulty walking as "the removal of an unintended pick-up/drop-off point is not considered to warrant a refusal of planning permission, as this facility would be retained, albeit further up Lloyds Avenue.” So, basically those people affected are expected to walk up the hill for a cab when they clearly can’t.
"How is that not a clear violation of a person’s Human Rights & a direct discrimination?"
We strongly dispute the council’s own research into their justification, we believe that the council have used unreliable sources & fabricated evidence gathering to justify their plans as the consultation process was bias too. The council used data from sources that either pay rent to the council for their workspace/business or are reliant on the council grant/handouts. We have spoken to a few such groups & senior figures that were very afraid of the council & its toxic culture so wouldn’t like to go on record as fear of repercussions that could be severe. We still have plenty of people that we have spoken to from disadvantaged groups that are happy to appear on media to help support our campaign wherever needed. One such champion who is not afraid to stand up against oppression & tyranny & fight for what he believes in is Luke. You can read his story on the link;
Following a spat of incidents & crime in the town centre, a number of women clienteles told us that they would not want the taxi rank to be changed at all as they felt safe & comfortable to approach Lloyds Avenue for a taxi after a night out as it is very open & clear to see from a distance with no hidden structures or plantations that would impair their view of the taxis from the town centre for the fear of feeling uncomfortable or the potentially of being attacked.
*Shout Out to ITFC & all our Football Fans, supporters & spectators
It was an Ipswich town fan that I picked up after a match that initially urged us not to give up & contact the fanzone & ITFC supporters section & GO GLOBAL to inform all fans that will truly be outraged as they be happy to endorse our campaign. Our customers & in particular football fans, spectators & supporters are local, national & worldwide that travel from across the globe, irrespective of whether they are elderly, disabled, vulnerable they will get their voice heard, recognition they deserve & be valued as they have clearly been let down by the council for they bring millions of pounds into our town economy so should have a better say. Unfortunately, the council puts it’s own self-interest first & profiting where they can by raising matchday parking charges to extortion & justifying it by stating it was to prevent car travel into town, when in fact car travel to these games are essential for people to access the stadium. A competent council would offer alternative parking provision & transport links to get people safely across not rip people off blatantly.
We are appreciative of the support provided the ITFC Supporters group who is willing to help us promote this onto their fan section of their website
We are giving a Shout Out to All the Football Fans out there that want to put Ipswich on the map for the right reasons & support our campaign please sign our petition to stop the council ruin our Football Way of Life!
FANS, SUPPORTERS AND SPECTATORS UNITE - AS WE ARE STRONGER TOGETHER!
*Help Our Taxis convert to Electric Vehicles to save Planet!
West Suffolk Councillor Gerald Kelly is the named person to head the Suffolk council that is leading the campaign for green scheme & the county's net zero emissions plans. Councillor Kelly knows too well the difficulties of taxi drivers to convert to electric vehicles & one of his biggest challenges is the lack of charging ports available.
We told Councillor Kelly that LLOYDS AVENUE would be a great solution. At present we 21 taxi rank spaces that is well used by taxis & the street has sufficient space for vehicles to wait & charge up at the lower end of the road where there is plenty of spaces available & an opportunity for the council to instal a number of charging ports which the taxis can quite easily & safely charge their vehicles then manoeuvre & drive out leaving the vacant port for the next upcoming taxi. You cannot get a better plan than this where both taxis & council could surely agree on, we get to keep our taxi spaces to remain as it is & the council get their electric vehicle green project off the ground. It makes total scientific sense to anyone, Right?
Wrong! As Ipswich Council is finding new ways to block any attempt of retribution with their authoritarian power to oppose any such opportunities that come its way. A Council with a history of making bad decisions & wasting millions, just when finally, they get an opportunity to end this dispute & put Ipswich first. Our local authority has come to be known as a copycat council, for borrowing & stealing ideas from other towns & cities, for once why not lead by listening to your people.
*Stand up for injustice - become a voice of the people!
Our only hope lies with YOU. So please sign our petition urgently & share if you can to show that you care, respect & understand those people we are representing in your heart, mind & soul, of the local & struggling businesses, our football fans, the elderly, disabled, wheelchair users, women & vulnerable in our society that still have a voice.
