Hold Fujitsu to account for Post Office scandal

- Do not give new contracts to Fujitsu
- Where possible, scrap existing Fujitsu contracts
- Use your power to force Fujitsu to pay compensation to victims

Why is this important?

£41 million! That’s how much more the Post Office has just agreed to pay Fujitsu to keep using the faulty Horizon IT system. And that's on top of another whopping £65m the Government paid the scandal stricken company earlier this year.

The firm at the heart of the Post Office scandal continues to be handed numerous government contracts paid for by millions of taxpayers money despite its role in the Post Office Horizon Scandal. It’s even been named a “key strategic supplier”.

No one at Fujitsu has been held accountable, even after it was confirmed the accounting errors were caused by the computer system. In fact, Fujitsu has continued to win government jobs worth millions, as recently as last month, despite calls for the firm to be frozen out of any new contracts. Outrageously, they have just been awarded a £41 million contract extension to keep running their Horizon system for the Post Office until 2027.

HMRC officials are saying this doesn’t count as a new contract as it’s an extension of a previous deal - but those who campaigned for wrongly convicted subpostmasters say it sends a dangerous message: unethical, dodgy corporate behaviour has no real consequences.

Hundreds of thousands of us have signed the petition urging the Government to hold Fujitsu to account and not give them any new taxpayer money. But they clearly aren't listening yet - so we need even more people to help send a powerful message.

Thanks to everyone who has signed.

As I’ve said, we must continue from our fantastic first step to ensure all parties responsible for the Post Office Scandal are held to account.
