Improve Road Crossing Safety Outside Hatcham Temple Grove Free School
As concerned parents and carers at Hatcham Temple Grove Free School, we are urgently requesting that Lewisham Council improve road crossing safety features outside the school on Pepys and Drakefell Road, and do more to prevent vehicles from speeding in the streets surrounding the school. We are asking the council to consider the following specific proposals:
- Move and raise the crossing points to make them safer;
- Consider moving the bus gate toward the top roundabout to reduce traffic outside the school;
- Make the area an official safer school crossing zone at pick-up and drop-off times.

Why is this important?
Making these changes will keep our children and neighbourhood safe, and help us all move toward London's Vision Zero, to eradicate deaths and serious injuries from road traffic as soon as possible.
