Robert Jenrick: say NO to INEOS and IGas plans

We, the undersigned, want Mr Jenrick to refuse the Ineos plans to drill for shale gas in the South Yorkshire village of Woodsetts and also, to refuse IGas plans for testing at its Ellesmere Port site in Cheshire.

Why is this important?

Fracking has been proved to pose many health risks to people who live close to sites as well as numerous threats to the surrounding environment. The Government declared climate emergency back in May 2019 - it's time to start taking action and divesting from fossil fuels- instead of promoting the use of this filthy, dangerous and unnecessary process.

The planning inspector has submit their report on the public inquiry into INEOS/ IGas plans to test for shale gas at Woodsetts and Ellesmere Port. The outcome will be decided by the local government secretary, Robert Jenrick, who will make his decision before 8th April. Now we just have to cross our fingers and wait 🤞
It's more than a year since the start of the inquiry, and we're now on the home straight and need one last push to tell Robert Jenrick we want him to refuse INEOS's appeal.
Please continue to share the petition and you can also contact him directly by emailing [email protected]

We're off to a great start, over 300 signatures in 24 hours! Thanks for all the support.

I am also proposing that we all email or post on facebook to James Brokenshire, our own councillors and MP's - politely and respectfully - that we would like them to use their influence to encourage a vote against these INEOS and IGas proposals, along with our reasons why etc. and give them some points to think on. Hopefully this will also have a positive impact on the outcome.

I hope you will consider taking this action further with me... don't forget to keep sharing and encourage your friends to do the same.

I will keep you updated on progress with this petition once next steps are finalised.
Keep up the fight against fracking!

Emma
