Legalising marijuana in the West Midlands
As many people in the West Midlands smoke cannabis recreationally and propose no harm to society, I believe there should be a law introduced allowing people to own a certain amount of the drug and use it without it being unlawful. Also It should no longer be an offense to smoke marijuana as long as it's not in a busy public area for example smoking in town centres would still be an offense, however smoking in a park should be legalised as long as users are respectful to non-smokers.
Why is this important?
It is important as most people buying marijuana off the streets could have been smoking varieties of the drug that have been covered with harmful pesticides or extremely potent strains that lead to psychosis . Introducing a new law would help the economy as special shops could then open selling marijuana safer than off street sellers. This will ensure people are safe while using the drug.
How it will be delivered
Most likely will email signatures on to Local MPs and the borough police service. Perhaps delivering them personally.
