Lidl need to stop packaging their food in non-recyclable plastic
I want Lidl to stop using non-recyclable plastic packaging on their goods. Most products I buy from Lidl are packaged in plastic that cannot be recycled. Lidl state that By 2022 they want to reduce the amount of own brand plastic packaging by 20% and by 2025 for 100% of own brand packaging will be widely recyclable*, reusable or refillable. Is this too far in the future?
Why is this important?
It is very important to be able to use as little plastic as possible in order to:
Conserve energy
Save natural resources
Reduce greenhouse gasses and pollution
Reduce the amount of plastic waste that goes into our landfills, oceans, and natural environments.
