Light Up Lewes Skatepark
Please invest in lighting for the Malling skatepark in Lewes, to make it safe for us to skate in the evenings. Young people in our community love to skate but once it gets dark - which can be 4pm in winter - there is nowhere for us to go. For very little cost, the council can create a safer, healthier town for our young people.
Why is this important?
Research says young people need at least an hour of exercise a day to stay healthy. After school, the skatepark is an ideal place to exercise.
Lewes skatepark has a friendly, inclusive community and welcomes kids of all abilities and backgrounds. It gives young people who don’t usually access sport facilities a healthy and positive activity
