Lockers for City students

Dear City,
We would like to request lockers to keep our belongings on campus.
Every day, many types of students from various Schools have to use textbooks, notebooks, folders, laptops, equipment and much else for their work.
Many students are expected to carry these heavy items into University and carry them around all day, even when they are only needed on site potentially for one hour in one lesson.
For example, Around 40% of undergraduate students live at home and commute daily into City, and many spend over three hours of their day commuting.

We urge City University to take this into consideration when redeveloping their estate.

This petition has been created by Tom Belger, Postgraduate Journalism Student, and endorsed by Giulio Folino, SU President

Why is this important?

Students are paying thousands of pounds a year to be at City - and deserve lockers as a basic part of their educational and student experience.
Students - please say what you carry in your bag and why you need a locker below.

How it will be delivered

We plan to deliver the petition to:

The Deputy and Pro-Vice Chancellors, Director of Property and Facilities, and the Vice-Chancellor himself.

City University London, Northampton Square, London, United Kingdom
