Lydford Road Zebra Crossing

We want Brent council to install a Zebra crossing on Lydford Road, NW2. This is a busy road, and crossing it is essential for a large number of families and children every day to get to school.

Why is this important?

It is very difficult for pedestrians to cross this road safely as traffic is constant and comes from 4 directions. The are a large number of families living in the area who need to cross this road every day to get so school in the Willesden Green area or to access the tube on Walm Lane. Some children walk to school by themselves and it is a very challenging road for unaccompanied children to negotiate.
There have been a number of accidents involving children on Brent roads recently (including fatalities) and we don’t want to wait for another one before a safe crossing is considered.
