Make all new homes Zero Carbon in use

Please upgrade the Building Regulations to ensure that all new homes are built to a 'Zero Carbon in use' standard.
Use the The Future Homes Standard 2019 Consultation on changes to fuel and power use and ventilation regulations to go much further than is currently being proposed.

Why is this important?

The government has released the The Future Homes Standard 2019 Consultation on changes to Part L (conservation of fuel and power) and Part F (ventilation) of the Building Regulations for new dwellings for consultation, but it is a huge and complicated document that takes a long time to fill in even if you know what it is talking about! But we are in a Climate Emergency - we just need to change the Building Regulations to make sure that all new homes are built to a much better standard. Zero Carbon in use is a good starting point, so let's not make it too complicated. Please sign this petition to make sure that we start building much better houses. Once they are built houses are very difficult and expensive to upgrade, so doing it now is the only sensible answer.
