Make Dullar Lane Safe Again!

For road users crossing the A31 at Dullar lane crossroads, visibility is extremely poor due to the hedgerows being both present and poorly maintained. This is well known locally as a very dangerous place to cross or join the A31.
There exists here a clear case for drastically lowering (or removing altogether) the hedgerows lining the A31 at this location as there has been a great many accidents and near misses here over the years.
We the undersigned call upon Vikki Slade MP, Highways England and Sturminster Marshall Parish Council to take the above action to permanently resolve this important local road safety issue.

Why is this important?
This route is very popular with cyclists as it is practically the only viable way to cycle between the wider Wimborne area and Purbeck. Around 23,000 motor vehicles traverse the A31 at this location every day.
It's arguably even more dangerous for motorists as occupying a car or van places the driver’s head an extra 6-8 feet behind the Give Way lines restricting visibility even further. Indeed the majority of near misses I’ve witnessed at this location involve drivers on Dullar Lane attempting to cross or join the A31.
