Make school uniforms optional in Scottish Schools

Children and teenagers should not be made to wear clothing that is uncomfortable, expensive and prevents them from expressing themselves. It should be optional for children and teenagers whether they want to wear it or not. School uniforms are not fit for all year round weather and, for some, can be too expensive to afford. They, all together are unnecessary in this day and age.

Why is this important?

This is important because children and teenagers are already struggling with anxiety due to the pandemic, personal issues and school. School should be a safe place, where they should feel comfortable to express themselves and generally be comfortable. It should not be a place they fear going are stress too much over.
