Make speed limit 30mph on the Carnkie/Penmarth/Penhalvean/Redruth road

The road from the village of Carnkie which goes through the hamlets of Penmarth and Penhalvean is too fast. This road is currently 60 and goes past many residential properties including 6 that are currently being built with their access on a blind bend. There is a chapel and a village hall one on either side of the road many elderly have to cross the road to use the facilities. 2 hamlets with many residential properties, Stithians watersports centre, numerous campsites. It has 20 footpaths feeding onto it and 8 bridlepaths. Many people in the local community both young and old use this as their place to walk their dogs, go running, ride their bikes. There have been many many accidents including a fatality a few years ago. Far to many near misses. Something needs to be done to make it safer for everyone. 30mph would make it much safer for all.

Why is this important?

To make the area safer for walkers, runners, cyclists, horse riders, motor cyclists, and drivers.
