Mobile companies holding your credit score to ransom

If you are in a dispute with a mobile company it should not effect your credit score if you do not pay.
I am paying for a service which I am not getting.
I'm held to ransom!

Why is this important?

I can not refuse to pay due to my credit score being effected so I have to pay.
I am with Vodafone at the moment and I am lucky if I get 3G.
The service is poor and will have to stay in contract for the 2 year duration.
Something needs to change.
