More research into Hyperthyroidism, Graves Disease & for them to be recognised disabilities

As a sufferer of Graves disease, and Hyperthyrodism - now Hypothyroid following on from a total thyroidectomy in November 2014, and having spoken to MANY other followers. We would like to petition that there is more funding given to research thyroid conditions.
We also want other related conditions such as Graves disease, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia to be recognised disabilites.

Why is this important?

Out of all of the people I have spoken to, most have said they felt like their GP or Endocrinology team new less about their conditon than they did! We feel that no one understands the suffering we go through. We are all treated the same and only prescribed Levothyroxine, resorting in many of us looking abroad to gain other treatments such as Natural Dessicated Thyroid. We also want more recognition of these debilatating diseases - many of us have lost jobs and friends becuase no one understands what it is like to live with this disease, day in and day out!
We all want more research done into why so many people are now being diagnosed with Thyroid conditions. We want to be allowed more treatment options. We want to feel like our GP and Endocrinology teams are treating us as individuals and not as reference books! Too many are needlessly enduring severe health effects because of poor GP and endocrinological diagnosis, service and treatment. We are suffering, desperate and sometimes suicidal because this needless situation continues. Please help the tens of thousands of thyroid sufferers in the UK, and the many more who remain undiagnosed and untreated, by holding a full review into endocrinological services. Tens of thousands of sufferers are being prescribed anti-depressants and other unnecessary drugs.
WE NEED OUR HEALTH BACK.
