New affordable housing for Dorchester
Allow new housing developments that provide affordable housing to Dorchester people when planning decisions are made. They should not be swayed by local pressure groups such as STAND who wish to block such developments at all cost.
Why is this important?
Local housing provision is in crisis, more should be done to put the housing needs of local people first. Successive councils have failed to do this and have encouraged developments that have served the local population poorly.
