NHS affiliated Agenda for Change staff not getting pay award
Include NHS staff not working for NHS trusts in the pay deal to ensure all NHS staff receive this money.
Why is this important?
I am a practitioner, employed by HCRG Care Group on an Agenda for Change contract to deliver NHS services on behalf of the NHS. The company informed staff on 26/04/23 that the government will not be funding some of the recent Agenda for Change pay deal for people not directly employed by the NHS. This means that NHS staff not working for NHS trusts will not receive the pay deal, whereas colleagues working for NHS trusts providing the same services and care will.
This is completely unjust, I have worked in my current role for seven years, initially under an NHS Trust then under Virgin Care, (via TUPE) and now HCRG. I have had no input or influence on who my employers have been and by choice would still be working for an NHS trust.
Staff on Agenda for Change contacts not working directly for the NHS are being unfairly penalised for a situation under which they have no control.
I am asking for your help in appealing to the people in Government who have made this decision to change their minds and ensure all NHS staff receive this money. All NHS staff work equally hard wherever they are employed, and the government should treat us all fairly in rewarding us for that work.
