Nottingham ‘Car Free Day’
Nottingham City Council are doing many excellent things to promote more sustainable transport. We think it is time for an event that will bring home to the wider population the advantages of reducing car use by having a Car Free Day. Such days have proved to be highly popular in many cities around the world. We request that the city declare Sunday 22nd September 2019 a car free day in the town centre and open the streets to pedestrians and cyclists.
Why is this important?
To forward the aim of making Nottingham a cleaner, more pleasant, more sustainable and happier city
