Open Glasgow Subway normal hours on Sundays
Bring the much-loved Glasgow Subway system into the 21st century by operating the network normal hours on Sundays instead of reduced hours.
Many people work on a Sunday including NHS staff, care workers, restaurant staff, retail staff, bar staff and so on, but have to find alternative transport because the Subway runs a reduced service on a Sunday, not opening until 10am and closing at around 6pm where the normal hours are from 6am to around 11pm.
Not providing a full Subway service on a Sunday deprives many people of a safe, affordable and reliable public transport service.
The current Sunday opening times fail to accommodate shift workers as well as falling short of a transport system fit for a modern city. Many shops and establishments and other businesses and services are open early or late (or both) on a Sunday, so why isn't the Subway open, too?

Why is this important?
The Subway provides an affordable, reliable and safe method of transport for a large part of the city of Glasgow - extending this service to normal opening hours on a Sunday would increase access and use of the subway, and make travelling to work on a Sunday for those that work unsociable hours much easier and safer.
