Open the Gates on Faversham Town Centre for Deliveries and Disabled Access

We want Swale Borough Council to rethink the policy of completely closing our town to all traffic from 10am to 4pm Monday - Saturday. To open at least the East street gate to allow some access.

Why is this important?

Disabled people and businesses have been essentially locked out of our town for over a year now. Enough is enough, the Faversham Traders Association and some Faversham residents have tried to get them to back down but we need support. Our FARCe (Faversham Against Road Closures ) group on Facebook has become campaign central and we have now resorted to weekly protests at the East street gate.
We are more than willing to compromise with the Market place being pedestrianised and the town only being accessed by deliveries to businesses , taxis and blue badge holders, of course this will need enforcing but Swale Borough Council so far refuses to listen or work with us.

We are not giving up though. Or going away.
