Open up empty buildings in Hull

Follow the lead of Manchester and open up empty buildings for homeless people this winter.

Why is this important?

To plead to the Council to open its empty buildings to the homeless in winter. I cannot imagine sleeping rough in driving, biting winds, snow, ice and winter rain. It's inhumane. It's also inexcusable when we have so many empty buildings.
Hull has a big Homeless issue, and in the wake of CoC it would be ideal to start tackling the issue before 2017. Winter is difficult enough for people who cant allways afford to keep their radiators on, nevermind for people who don't even have a roof over their heads. I was lucky enough to be made homeless in Summer, I have not had to endure bitter, freezing nights outside.

Sure, we have Dock House, but they're only around when they have the funding to. They are a good help in Winter, and so are the Homeless Outreach, which is why I think they should help this cause. Yes, there's provision already, but there's only so many beds and we all know there are more rough sleepers than homeless shelter beds.

Please, join the country in a step in the right direction and join the campaign.
