Parking on zig zag lines

In my opinion as a Driving Instructor with 16 years experience this is just as dangerous to life. Day in day out I see vehicles parked on zigzag lines totally obscuring the view of the crossing. Only this week I caught on my dashcam a traffic police officer driving past a transit size van parked fully on the zigzag lines without even stopping. My pupil as she drove past said I can't even see if anyone is on the crossing. Maybe it will take a serious injury or worse before something is done but then it's too late.
