Petition to Stores to Encourage People to Buy Cruelty-Free Beauty Products

The Goal: To get stores to advertise cruelty-free products over animal-tested ones.

The Problem: Cruelty-free beauty is a major trend and one that many people are interested in and many Asian cosmetic wholesale brands and independent beauty brands are turning to cruelty-free methods. However, as much as people are concerned with animal welfare issues, but some people forget that beauty products are often tested on animals. When shopping in high-street stores it isn't always easy to identify which products are cruelty-free and which are not, and this leads many shoppers to buy products that are tested on animals. In order for the beauty industry to keep evolving in a positive way, beauty stores need to encourage shoppers to buy cruelty-free products instead of animal-tested ones.

Why is this important?

The Solution: In order to do this, stores need to take responsibility for boosting the awareness and sales of cruelty-free brands. To do this, stores should create specific sections where shoppers can view and test a selection of popular cruelty-free products. These sections need to be visible to customers, and attractive. In addition to this, stores should make a push to educate customers about the benefits of buying cruelty-free products instead of animal-tested ones. If all these efforts are made by popular high-street stores, the number of brands switching to cruelty-free practices will surely increase.
