PETITION U.N TO MONITOR 2017 UK GENERAL ELECTION

The Conservative Government has broken it's own fixed term policy to call a snap general election a full three years before it was due to. It did this while the investigations into their financial conduct during the 2015 General Election was still open and undischarged. There were a total of 29 constituencies and 60 Conservative Party MP's and their agents under investigation. This figure was around twice the majority the Conservative Government constitued a Government under at the current term. (These investigations have now been discharged and although both CPS and Electoral commission found evidence of wrongdoing, no charges have been brought.)

We should like to take this opportunity to remind the UN that they have already recently engaged in investigations into the current Conservative UK Government in breach of international law and complicit in 'grave and systematic human rights abuses' against the most vulnerable members of society:

We believe the most basic principles of democracy are at stake; the right to participate in free and fair elections, and urgently call upon the UNITED NATIONS to begin monitoring the conduct and counting of the UK 2017 general election.
