Please help save St Cuthbert's School Bus Service
We would ask that they review their decision to withdraw this efficient and reliable
school bus service from being withdrawn as of September 2015. It is stated by SCC that it is no longer cost effective to run this service- could the figures be re examined? Could St Cuthberts bus service be merged with another local school bus service to reduce costs??
Why is this important?
It is very important to all familes who use this service. There are parents who start work early, parents who have to take another child to a different school plus the parents who have no personal transport at all! The local traffic is also reduced as a result of parents using this bus service. This traffic will increase significantly for everyone on the school run by having at least another 20+ cars on the road in an already extremely busy village.
