Protect Skerningham!
This campaign has ended.
We the undersigned want all Darlington councillors to vote 'NO' to this Local Plan and honour the 2019 local election promises to voters. We ask that they:
BRING THE NUMBER OF HOUSES IN LINE WITH THE GOVERNMENT RECOMMENDED TOTAL;
CREATE A LOCAL PLAN WHICH LISTENS TO RESIDENTS’ CONCERNS;
PROTECT OUR GREEN SPACES.
Skerningham is a green space used and loved by many.
We do NOT want you to vote to build on Skerningham!

Why is this important?
With the climate crisis becoming more urgent by the day our green spaces become more important. Darlington Council are going back on their promises from 2019 when they said they were committed to protecting our town's green spaces. Skerningham was referred to as the 'Jewel in the Crown' of Darlington and acknowledged for its value as a green space and woodland for both humans and wildlife. Darlington Council need to realise that residents from across Darlington want to retain this area and care about its future. The Council must listen to residents' concerns and respond accordingly!
