Provide assistance to the hospitality industry during this Coronavirus pandemic
Provide assistance to Hospitality & leisure businesses no matter how small or big so that they can survive the Coronavirus pandemic.
Extend rates relief to the larger businesses who are employing a significant portion of our people across multiple venues in this sector where the rateable value exceeds the threshold released in the recent budget.
Suspend payments (without interest) to HMRC for those larger hospitality operators too, that employ the majority of workers up and down the U.K.
Implement measures such as redundancy for temporary staff during this period.
Mandate repayment freezes on personal loans, credit cards and similar to assist hospitality staff and more casual workers in this sector in being able to survive through this period.
Provide financial support so that these employees and workers can meet their basic accomodation / rent costs.
Implement an accessible and accelerated measure to replace loss of earnings during this period which may also be by sick pay so they can continue to support themselves and their families.

Why is this important?
Sales are down 60-85% depending on venue, they can’t sustain employment of our people being largely cash businesses for much longer - further a significant portion of these people are temporary workers on hourly rates who have little access to redundancy. Many hospitality businesses will otherwise not survive this period. With self isolation and government advice to further stay away from these venues to understandably bring this virus pandemic under control - these venues and people are increasingly at risk of not being able to survive financially. We need action now.
