Publish Report into Comet Collapse

In the light of the liquidation of BHS, the Government should publish its report into the collapse of high street giant Comet under similar circumstances.

Why is this important?

In the light of the recent 'bankruptcy' of BHS, and the possibility of business owners operating at or beyond the limits of acceptable corporate governance, I think it is important for the public to understand whether there is a cultural problem within the corporate business sector.

A similar set of events surrounded the collapse of the Comet group and a report was commissioned by the government into this collapse. The Government is refusing to publish this report.

I think that a Government whose 'brand' is based on the benefits of a free enterprise culture needs to be very careful about how it is perceived when information pertaining to potential systematic abuse of the rules governing the corporate sector are withheld from the public.
