Put An End To The Bedroom Tax
End the bedroom tax at least while we are in this current crisis. Most people in rented accommodation are still being penalised by this cruel legislation.
Why is this important?
With the increasing amounts of people having to claim sick pay due to self isolating. Vast amounts of the population who are or will lose their jobs due to the Corona Virus Pandemic having to go on to Universal credit and losing valuable money due to having one or two bedrooms that are unoccupied. The public are not in the position to downsize in order to receive the full entitlement to their rent. Thus having to spend money which can help with basic survival in these hard times to supplement a Government penalty are leaving people short on food and other basic essentials needed to live.
