Raising the Aberdeen Incinerator to the ground.

Burning rubbish creates poisonous gases that cause a variety of health issues, cancer, COPD, birth defects etc. And this is old technology, there are numerous reports about the dangers of incinerators on the internet and the councilors in Aberdeen just don't want to listen, knee jerk reaction to not being allowed to land fill waste anymore. We as a society need to stop throwing away the rubbish we create and need to reuse, recycle and reduce our waste. This needs to be a Scottish Government policy that all that is made can be recycled, this then creates less waste. Incinerators need high energy fuels to keep them burning and plastics are perfect for this. So many believe that the plastics for recycling could be used for the incinerator. As well as incinerating Aberdeens waste it seems that we will also be burning Aberdeenshire's and Moray's, this then puts more heavy lorries going through built up areas which creates more pollution and creating more health problems due to nano and micro particles. In the past the roads near this site were some of the most polluted in Scotland. Thousands of people die due to the health issues of burning of fossil fuels every year and this would just make this even worse. There are also thoughts that if there is not enough to burn the company running the unit would sign deals with other areas or even other countries to receive there waste. More pollution on a massive scale, there is also huge concern about the ash that is created in the unit as this can be highly toxic to living creatures and the environment. Aberdeen city council looked at over 60 sites and picked one near a primary school in an already over industrialised zone, where there is already a jet engine testing station(very black smoke on a regular basis blowing over a primary school), a fish meal factory, a swerage works(which stinks), a large scrap yard with noise from 7/8 am .
